Instagrid collect Rental Product of the Year Award at the 2026 European Rental Awards

Instagrid ONE and GO named rental product of the year at the 2026 european rental awards

Maastricht, June 2026 – It’s one of the most coveted accolades in the industry: being crowned European Rental Product of the Year. This award recognises innovations that drive the industry forwards, standing out above the tens of thousands of assets across Europe’s largest rental fleets, recognising ‘future proof’ products that drive sustainability, scale effortlessly, and provide a strong return on investment. Instagrid has proven it can do all of this, and more. Recognition for Innovation, Performance, and Impact The judging panel highlighted Instagrid’s exceptional scalability and its compatibility with thousands of corded tools and equipment, making it an immediately deployable solution across a wide range of applications. Beyond versatility, Instagrid was recognised for:

  • Enhanced safety on site

  • Significant environmental benefits

  • A proven ability to solve real, everyday challenges for customers

Our award submission was supported by robust data, performance metrics, and endorsements from some of Europe’s leading rental companies - demonstrating not just potential, but proven impact at scale. Backed by Europe’s Leading Rental Companies Kiloutou has been one of the most committed early adopters, equipping depots with Instagrid units to replace small fuel-powered generators. Their investment reflects both sustainability ambitions and a desire to improve on-site working conditions. Quentin Gunia, Manager at Kiloutou Lesquin, shares: “It’s a game-changing solution that provides real comfort, safety, and performance tailored to field needs. Once you’ve tried it, there’s no going back.” Audrey Miclard, Sustainability Manager at Kiloutou, adds: “Instagrid is not just a mobile energy provider. They are a strategic partner helping us measure and reduce our environmental impact. Thanks to them, we are accelerating our transition.” The momentum continues across the UK. Sunbelt Rentals rolled out Instagrid ONE and GO nationwide, making the country’s largest single investment in the technology in 2025.

They are joined by Travis Perkins, Speedy Hire, Brandon Hire, and GAP, all of whom are investing heavily - drawn by Instagrid’s fleet-wide scalability, low maintenance requirements, and reliability in reducing costly downtime. Across mainland Europe, Loxam is expanding its fleet in Spain and France, while internationally, Sunbelt USA and Coates Hire Australia have also begun integrating Instagrid into their rental fleets. This widespread adoption is perhaps the strongest endorsement any manufacturer can receive. It reflects trust, not only in the product, but in its ability to consistently deliver value for both rental partners and their customers. A Strong Presence in Maastricht The European Rental Awards took place alongside the International Rental Exhibition (IRE) and the European Rental Association (ERA) Annual Convention - bringing together a highly influential audience from across the industry. Having joined the ERA earlier this year, Instagrid is already actively contributing to the Sustainability Committee, collaborating with manufacturers and rental companies to accelerate decarbonisation while ensuring commercial viability. Key themes from the wider event included:

  • Strengthening collaboration across the ERA – including the development of a new People Committee, designed to bring existing committees closer together and foster greater alignment.

  • Driving diversity and inclusion – with a strong focus on championing Women in Rental and Construction, highlighted by the launch of the Girls Wanted initiative to attract more women into the industry.

  • The rise of AI and data – and their increasingly central role in shaping the future of rental operations and decision-making.

  • Progress towards net zero – with renewed focus around reducing emissions and enabling sustainable operations across fleets and job sites.

  • The importance of innovation that delivers both environmental and economic value

Celebrating the Achievement The award was collected by Sander Spoolder, Head of Sales Benelux, and Charlotte Evans, Senior Country Marketing Manager (UK & International Markets). In their acceptance speech, they thanked the European Rental Association for the recognition and paid tribute to the rental partners who have championed Instagrid over the past few years. Their continued investment and belief have been instrumental in making clean, portable power accessible to thousands of professionals every day - driving meaningful change across the industries they serve. With Sander summing it up perfectly: “This award belongs to you as much as it does to us - and to everyone working towards safer, cleaner worksites. We’re just getting started on powering a more sustainable future.”
